Kiss My Gender – In Hayward Gallery

This exhibition completely belongs to me. I literally enjoyed it and enable myself immersed in the whole show.

The artists of Kiss My Gender brings me a lot of new feeling about the gender identity and gender fluidity. I will constantly develop my previous work concerning the transgender moving image works.

I have been focusing on the issue of gender identity, and I have a deep awareness of that since I finished a documentary which documented my friend Wang, who was trying to change his Chinese illegal name and transfer his physical characteristics through injecting sex hormone. His born female sex seems like an outer form that he want to get rid of, but it is paradoxical when Wang talks about his vision of significance of the gender identity in society.
